SocGen's EBS division to grow 60%, expands its West Gate offices in Bucharest
Société Générale European Business Services (the business outsourcing division) expanded its HQs in H2 building of West Gate business park, owned by Genesis Development, and plans to grow its personnel by about 60% by year-end.
SG EBS counted 630 employees at the end of 2015 and it plans reaching 1,000 employees (a 58% growth) by 2017, according to a release.
SG EBS uses now 7,600 sqm of office space in West Gate, with a contract valid until 2021.
"We were inspired when we choose West Gate in 2012. In the meantime, we extended our activity and operations and we decided to stay here, as we found flexibility and the solutions for each stage of the development of our company," says Phillipe Garcet, CEO of SG EBS.
SG EBS currently serves over 20 countries, mostly across Europe, for all major business lines of the Société Générale Group. Through consolidated strategies of serving the clients and the management of business process optimization, SG EBS aims at becoming a regional center of excellence for Société Générale Group.
"This is the fourth consecutive expansion and consolidation in Genesis Development's portfolio, following the expansions and extensions of Hewlett Packard, Yokogawa and Infineon in Novo Park, that totalize approximately 35,000 sqm worth of office spaces. Genesis Development owns West Gate and Novo Park, a portfolio of 150,000 sqm class A office spaces," says a Genesis release.
Société Générale European Business Services was founded in 2011 and it is a service center of the Société Générale Group. The company provides professional services in various fields of activity for worldwide entities of the Group: finance & accounting, procurement, human resources and IT.
"To our knowledge, over 400,000 sqm of new office spaces will be delivered in 2016. In such a context, we are honored to have tenants who consolidate and sign contracts for record periods of time with Genesis Development parks. This proves our capacity to offer services that match up to our clients' expectations, and also a validation of the fact that Romania offers the necessary context for foreign investors to expand their activity," explains Liviu Tudor, chairman and founder of Genesis Development.
The new contract with Société Générale European Business Services entered into force at the beginning of 2016.
