People in Shared Services and Outsourcing Forum, 2018: What kind of future, tomorrow will bring?

We have just concluded the fourth edition of our annual event People in Shared Services and Outsourcing Forum, the get-together of the Who's Who in the industry of business shared services in Romania.

It is already the fourth year in a row since Outsourcing Today and the Diplomat Bucharest, together with the highest level of industry's professionals map the evolution of the most dynamic sector in Romania. There are over 125.000 people working in outsourcing and business shared services at this time and the industry will grow to need at least double the number in only few years.

How can this be achieved? How well prepared is our workforce to cover the demand and who is preparing the young professionals for the future? Nevertheless, what kind of future, tomorrow will bring?

The answers and valuable ideas have been shared during three sessions of dialogue enabled by a strong team of panelists and event partners: Diamond partner Wipro, Gold partners PwC, ACCA, ADP, COS, Colliers International, Partners Vastint, Noerr, Immofinanz, Wave, and the support of industry associations ABSL, ANIS and ClujIT.

A vast area of topics has been tackled during the event, underlining the importance of Key human capital trends, opportunities, challenges and solutions, Authorities' and associations' steps to support the industry's human capital necessities, HR, the engine for growth and critical determinants on reaching the industry's potential and the power of corporates and universities combined. One of the most important takeaway of the event is that the future will belong to those who will be the best enablers of human capital in the world functioning on technology. Learn, Unlearn, Relearn.

Also, especially in Romania, there is a strong need to buuild an ecosystem that enables the entrepreneurship develop in a consistent and healthy way, by engaging all the stakeholders during the process, the early education for business development, the pool of investors, the economic infrastructure and the human capital.

Creating a story of employees and companies. Make employees be part of the companies' story and play leading roles in the story.
